Today is Children's Day

November 14th is celebrated as Children's Day in India.

Jawaharlal Nehru, the first prime minister of modern India and a true statesman, loved children and laid great hopes on them. He was born on November 14th and India celebrates that day as special day for children. And Nehru being great rationalist and humanist would have approved.

I wanted a picture which symbolised the children of today. Resolute, intense, rebellious, unconventional; people who don't ask for backdrop, people who see a bright world, people who can stand on the edge and still be children full of mischief and fun and laughter.

The cynic in me says this is true of ALL children of ALL times. But again may be not. The optimist in me says world may go around and come around but humankind evolves and grows.

My good wishes to all children everywhere. May you have the adults you really deserve...
